Before this Court is a Motion to Admit Amended Petition, filed by the petitioner, through counsel, Atty. Tito M. Tonio III. Finding the same to be well-taken, the same is GRANTED.

In this regard, a verified amended petition was filed on October 3, 2018, praying that after due notice, publication and hearing, judgment be rendered ordering the Civil Registrar General and the Civil Registrar of Baras, Catanduanes, to CORRECT the petitioner’s name from JESTONI REYES, DELOS TIPO to JESTONI DE LOS REYES TIPO in the Certificate of Birth under Registry No. 89-17 and CAUSE it to be recorded with the Philippine Statistics Authority.  

Finding the petition sufficient in form and substance, let this Petition be set for initial hearing on January 23, 2019 at 8:30 o’clock in the morning, at which time and date, any interested person may appear and show cause, if any, why the petition should not be granted.

Let this Order be published at petitioner’s expense once a week for three (3) consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation in the province of Catanduanes and the copy thereof be furnished the Office of the Local Civil Registrar of Baras, Catanduanes, the Civil Registrar General, the Philippine Statistics Authority, Quezon City, and the Office of the Solicitor General. The Branch Clerk of Court is ordered to furnish the Office of the Clerk of Court of this order.
