Oh, Mommy Joy, a part of me died with your passing
 You’re my guide, my life, my everything;
Growing up in your care was the greatest thing of all,
  I now cry those moments missing you in my call.

I took you for granted when you’re around me,
 Didn’t know how much you meant,  so this couldn’t be.
Regret is a cowardly act, a thousand times said means nothing,
 Now that you’re gone, part of me is gone, I’ve lost my wing.

I wish this is just a nightmare, so please take me off this
 Where are you, my love, my teacher, my candle of peace?
In my moments of tribulation, you gave me strength and wisdom
 Your presence made me secure, your blanket all I want in my room.

Simple as your life was, you were the pillar, the model of all mothers
 Fame and fortune you didn’t aspire for, simple life was what you cared for;
Lessons you shared, sacrifices you made, I treasure now in my heart
 Compassion and kindness, values you were known as cats meow and dogs bark.

The home you built for us will forever be there for generations to come,
 The garden, the kitchen, the letters from your heart -- you’re the greatest Mom;
As you give so did we receive, as you plant so did we reap, as you share so did we grow
  You made the best part for us, we can never repay no matter how much we blow.

 Emptiness I could not bear when you’re not here
Please don’t leave me behind to wallow in barrels of tear;
Life is not what it used to be when you were around,
 But I must go on if only to propagate your memory with a crown.

The life you had, the examples you showed were hard to follow,
 But they all bear all the love you had for us, your care for us tomorrow;
Life for us will be better as you had wanted it to be,
 Let it be said that we will always make you proud to heaven with glee.

Oh, Mommy Joy, a part of me died with your passing
 You’re my guide, my life, my everything;
Growing up in your care was the greatest thing of all,
  I now cry those moments missing you in my call.
