A newly-identified drug pusher was arrested in barangay Salvacion by the Virac police station the other weekend after a court-ordered search of his residence yielded drug paraphernalia.

Armed with a search warrant issued by RTC Executive Judge Lelu P. Contreras, a team led by Chief Inspector James Ronatay, acting chief of police, conducted the search in the presence of barangay officials and found in the possession of fishball vendor Alan Zafe Coderis, also known as “Bansod,” 28, two pipes concealed behind medicines and multivitamins as well as 10 improvised “pasak” pipes inside a cigarette pack under a table during the search conducted beginning 11 A.M. of Jan. 28.

It is claimed that the search was conducted after a parent of a nearby educational institution told authorities of the operation of a fishball vendor allegedly selling marijuana along with the snack food. The parent had reportedly caught his child smoking pot.
