Suspect in San Miguel hacking escapes

Police have launched a manhunt operation to arrest a suspect in a hacking incident in sitio Caglatawan, Juan M. Alberto, San Miguel town the other Monday in which an abaca stripper was wounded.

The suspect, Mico Tejeresas, about 30 years old, a farmer, reportedly had a heated argument with Giovani Panti, 28, over P6,000.00 cash that Tejeresas lost and which he insisted was taken by Panti.

The suspect left and after a few minutes came back armed with a bolo, hacking Panti on the left arm. The victim managed to escape further harm and was brought to the Rural Health Unit and then to the Eastern Bicol Medical Center in Virac.
