Three persons, including two abaca strippers, were injured when two motorcycles collided in Viga town last week.

Investigators said that at about 9 P.M. of March 26, a Kawasaki Bajaj CT 1000 driven by abaca stripper Junly Bernal, 19, and backrider Eugene Calderon, 19, both of Almojuela, was bound for barangay San Vicente from the town proper when they suddenly turned left at the intersection, hitting a PMR Origin 100 motorcycle driven by Reymart Cayetano, 17, also of Almojuela. Both drivers had no licenses or helmets.

A day earlier, an unregistered Honda XRM driven by construction worker Bryan Padilla, 23, of San Pedro Bato, with mechanic Armando Vallespin, 28, was traversing the national road from San Vicente, Virac, towards San Pedro, Bato, when Padilla suddenly lost control of the vehicle, causing them to fall down on the pavement. Padilla had no driver’s license while both wore no helmets.
