Father, son fall in anti-drug raid

Appropriate criminal cases for violation of Republic Act 9165 are now being prepared against a Virac resident and his son who arrested in possession of 11 sachets of suspected shabu and non-drug paraphernalia during a recent raid.

Armed with a search warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court, elements of the Virac police station led by Senior Inspector Ariel Buraga, under the supervision of acting chief of police Chief Inspector Josefino Titong, went to the house of Gil Manrique Sr., 64, and namesake son Gil Jr., 38, at Palnab del Sur last April 20, 2018.

The search uncovered in their possession the sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride and seven rolled aluminum foil strips .
