A barangay official was wounded in San Miguel town last week after he warned a jobless resident against getting a motorcycle which did not belong to him.

According to the report, Buhi barangay kagawad Amaleo Terrazola, 42, was strongly advising the suspect, Amalycion Morales, 28, not to get the black-and-white Honda XRM at around 8 A.M. of June 16, 2018 when the latter suddenly got a bolo and tried to stab the official.

Fortunately, Terrazola managed to parry the bolo which resulted in a stab wound on his arm.

The suspect was later arrested in possession of the motorcycle owned by Jestoni Tesorero, 29, a resident of barangay Obo.

Morales has been placed in custody of the town police following the filing of a criminal case for violation of the anti-fencing law against him before the Provincial Prosecution Office.
