The Bicol police regional office has directed its provincial directors and chiefs of police to conduct dialogues with all leaders of religious groups in their respective areas of responsibility following the recent spate of shootings targeting Roman Catholic priests.

Following Chief Superindent Antonio Guardiola Jr.’s issuance of the memorandum issued last June 13, 2018, Catanduanes Police Provincial Director Senior Superintendent Felix Servita Jr. ordered his men to engage or conduct dialogues with the religious leaders in their areas in order to determine their currenty security needs and situations.

In directing the local police stations to address whatever concerns of the religious leaders, PD Servita said this would promote a strong relationship with the clergy and encourage mutual visits.

Meanwhile, RD Guardiola also called the attention of the Catanduanes police regarding the high number of robbery, theft and carnapping incidents in the island province.

He asked the Camp Camacho command to submit an assessment of the situation and whatever action taken to reduce the crime incidents.
