Separate cases of frustrated homicide have been filed against two men suspected of involvement in a stabbing incident in Bon-ot, San Andres last Aug. 19, 2018.

Dominic Soliveres Avila, 43, self-employed, and Dennis Soliveres Toledo, 38, a security guard, allegedly attacked Dante Soliveres Toledo, a clerk from Divino Rostro, at 8:30 P.M. while they were having a drinking spree at Dennis’ residence. Dominic is the step brother of the two victims, being the son of their mother with another man.

A heated argument suddenly erupted between them, with Dominic drawing a knife and stabbing Dante several times on the stomach. Dennis snatched away Dominic’s knife and chased him. When Dennis caught up with his step brother, he then pushed, kicked and stabbed Dominic with intent to kill but only caused minor injuries.

Dante, on the other hand, was rushed to the JMA Memorial District Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Responding policemen later recovered the butterfly knife used in the incident and arrested Dennis. Dominic voluntarily surrendered to PO2 Aldrin Binalla.
