A case for reckless imprudence resulting to homicide and multiple physical injuries had been filed against a motorcycle driver who figured in an accident in Bagamanoc town last Sept. 27, 2018 in which a woman died and five others were injured.

The police said the complaint was filed against Erwin Traqueña, 25, of Begonia, Viga, before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office the next day, with the case filed before the 3rd Municipal Circuit Trial Court.

Traqueña was driving a Kawasaki Bajaj CT 100 motorcycle at 5:30 P.M. along the national road in Magsaysay when he collided with a Suzuki 125 topdown driven by Frederick Tillerba, 44.

Frederick was injured, along with his wife, Mavil Elementary School teacher Marissa Tillerba, 48, her colleagues Cherry San Jose, 35, and Cheryl Vistal, 39. The Tillerba’s eight-year old daughter, Bianca, survived the collision unharmed but another teacher, Olivia Vitalicio, 50, of Bugao National High School and resident of San Isidro, was declared dead on arrival at Viga district hospital.

Five days earlier, in Pandan town, a construction worker died while his two backriders were hurt when the motorcycle they were riding hit a concrete guardrail at the side of the road in barangay Catamban.

The report said Allan Lopez, 52, of Baldoc, and backriders Aejay Eustaquio, 19, a construction worker from Lumabao, and Francis Santelices of Libod, had a drinking spree at sitio Biyong and were on theior way to Miguela’s Beer House in nearby Caramoran when they met the accident at 8:30 P.M. of Sept. 22.

Lopez lost control of the vehicle, which crashed on the concrete box-type guardrail. The trio were rushed to the Pandan district hospital by their companions but Lopez was declared dead on arrival while the two other sustained minor injuries.
