Robbers carry off 53” TV from school

Virac police investigators are looking into the robbery at an elementary school classroom where the suspects carried away a 53-inch television set.

A certain Mrs. Tapado from the Capilihan Elementary School called for police assistance in the morning of Nov. 15, 2018 following the discovery of the robbery.

Investigation disclosed that sometime between 1 A.M. and 2 A.M., unidentified perpetrators entered the classroom of teacher Marichu Tabuzo, 51, and then carted away the Pensonic 53-inch TV set worth P19,000.00.

Meanwhile, a case for robbery has been filed before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office against Jason Manuguid, also known as “Elago”, 25, and a resident of Moonwalk, Calatagan, Virac.

Manuguid was positively identified by Hector Adille,55, as the suspect in the robbery that occurred on Nov. 9 at his residence in San Isidro Village sometime between 1 to 2 A.M.

The robber escaped with P35,000.00 in cash as well as earnings of an undetermined amount, together with an Oppo F5 cellphone (P20,000.00 value), Oppo R7 cellphone (P15,000.00), Samsung J5 cellphone (P14,000.00), Myphone (P900.00), two Nokia cellphones (P10,000.00), Cherrymobile cellphone (P4,000.00), black bag (P500.00), Lenovo laptop (P17,000.00), and an Apple iPad (P10,000.00).

As the suspect was fleeing and was about to jump over the fence, Adille managed to shine his flashlight on him and was able to see his face.

At the police station, the victim’s brother, SPO1 Ruel Adille, showed him several pictures of notorious robbers in Virac, with Hector positively identifying Manuguid as the culprit.
