Bato’s No.1 Most Wanted apprehended in Biñan City

A resident of Bato who hid for about two years after being charged with twin counts of rape has been arrested in Biñan City in Laguna.

Sandy Balanban Timajo, 37, a delivery worker, was arrested by PO1 Kristoffer San Garcia of Bato police with the assistance of the city police station last Nov. 12, 2018 at barangay Casile where he had resided.

Timajo was the subject of a warrant of arrest issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 43 Presiding Judge Lelu P. Contreras for the crime of rape in relation to Republic Act 7160 docketed under Criminal Case No. 5683 and 5685 with no bail recommended.

He was temporarily placed under the custody of the Biñan police pending subsequent turnover to RTC Virac.

Three other wanted persons were arrested during the same week, with fisherman Elwin Taniegra Potenciano, 24, of Cagdarao, Panganiban, falling into the authorities’ hands in Sta. Marina last Nov. 15.

PO3 John Vargas made the collar by virtue of the arrest warrant issued by MCTC Panganiban-Viga-Bagamanoc acting Presiding Judge Francisco Torres Jr. in connection with Criminal Case No. P-1349 for Acts of Lasciviousness. Bail for his temporary liberty has been placed at P10,000.00.

In Mayngaway, San Andres, a day earlier, security guard Joven Cielo Castronuevo, 22, was arrested by a team led by Inspector Roderick Bino following the issuance of a warrant by MTC San Andres acting Presiding Judge Carlo Martin Adille for Reckless Imprudence resulting in Homicide under CC No. 4141, with bail recommended at P36,000.00.
