CSU fetes 9 new CPA board passers

The Catanduanes State University (CSU) tendered a testimonial dinner the other Monday for yet another batch of new Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) who passed the October 2018 licensure examination conducted by Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in Manila.

In a statement released last week, Prof. Esperanza P. San Juan, Dean of the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA), bared that this year’s overall performance of the University at 39.13% is still above the national passing percentage of 29.14%.  For the first takers this year, the CSU got 50% passing average, she added.

CSU President Dr. Minerva I. Morales lauded the faculty and staff for the recent feat as she continued to encourage the College to sustain its good standing in the PRC exams every year.

In the latest PRC results, the new CPAs from CSU are:  Sarah Jane T. Abundo, Juvy I. Baltazar, Aaron Chrysler G. Caadlawon, Abby Rose T. Celso, Mark Anthony T. Martirez, Janine Mae V. San Juan, Lynrose O. Tabuzo, Merisan T. Tapado, and Cassandra Mae A. Yancha.

Pres. Morales and other university executives attended the CBA’s testimonial ceremony for the successful examinees at the CBA Function Hall last Nov. 12, 2018.  Also present were Dr. Maria S. Tugano, Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Ma. Theresa E. Sarmiento, Vice-President for Admin. and Financial Affairs, and Dr. Lily P. Custodio, Vice-President for Research, Extension and Production Affairs.
