A tricycle driver who stabbed who barangay tanods in San Miguel town recently has escaped legal action after the two victims filed an affidavit of waiver and desistance to the police station last week.

The presentation of the notarized affidavit last Dec. 19, 2018 means the suspect, Juan Evangelista Tano, 47, a resident of barangay Boton, will not face charges for using a kitchen knife in stabbing chief tanod Juan Tano, 56, and tanod Edgar Tapel, 48, last Dec. 2 at 9 P.M. in Boton after the latter presumably tried to pacify the suspect from creating trouble.
