Personnel from four different units of the Catanduanes police arrested a welder and his live-in partner in a buy-bust operation in the capital town last Thursday (Jan. 17, 2019).

Ronald Talan Abundo, 23, a resident of Sto. Niño, and his partner, Jane Bagadiong, 18, of Antipolo del Norte, were apprehended by joint elements of the Virac police station, the 1st Catanduanes Police Mobile Force Company, Regional Intelligence Division Team Catanduanes, and the Catanduanes Police Intelligence Branch, under the supervision of Acting Provincial Director Senior Superintendent Paul Abay, during the operation that went down shortly before 6:45 P.M. at Palnab del Sur.

The law enforcers recovered from the suspects two sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, a plastic bag containing marijuana, and two P500 bills used as buy-bust money.

A case for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is being prepared for filing against the duo.
