Law enforcers from three units of the Catanduanes police caught an abaca stripper and his namesake son last week for possession of undocumented lumber and an unlicensed chainsaw in Caramoran town.

The apprehension was made last Feb. 21, 2019 at barangay Sabloyon by personnel of the Caramoran police station led by PO3 Ryan Bien, PO2 Dan Bagay of the Provincial Special Operations Team (PSOT) and Pandan police station as well as operatives of 1st Police Mobile Force Company’s 2nd platoon.

The team was conducting an operation against illegal logging activities when they came upon Arnold Bernal Tuldac Sr., 58, and his son Arnold Jr., 22, also an abaca stripper, who are both residents of Datag East.

Seized from them were six (6) pieces of illegally sawn narra logs and the chainsaw. The police are now preparing an appropriate charge against the suspects for filing through inquest proceedings before the Provincial Prosecutor's Office.
