A case for attempted murder has been filed against a suspect in the hacking of an abaca stripper in San Miguel town the other week.

The police said the complaint was filed against Allan Ralla of barangay Boton, who fled the scene of the crime at Katipunan after hacking Rey Rex Baltazar, 30, at 10 P.M. of Feb. 19, 2019.

A similar complaint, for attempted homicide, was filed against farmer Antonio Samudio and his brother, construction worker, Gregorio Samudio, both of Milaviga, Caramoran, for trying to hack Rommel Dyangko, 54, an employee of Ching Bee Corp. and resident of Tayhi, Tabaco City, last Feb. 2.

The complaint stated that without any justifiable cause, Antonio tried to hack the victim on the body but the latter evaded the bolo thrust and ran away.

Armed with a bolo and a hammer, the brothers chased the victim, with Antonio shouting at him, “Ano, makialam ka? Titigbason taka!”

Upon noticing the presence of people, the suspects stopped their pursuit and left the area.
