A laborer charged of murder for throwing a stone at a trouble maker who later died surrendered to the Bagamanpoc police last week.

Last Mar. 21, 2019 at barangay Sta. Teresa, Nandy Santos, 23, a resident of Magsaysay, accompanied by Barangay Kagawad Marilyn Verdad, voluntarily surrendered to PO1 Romeo Cabrera Jr.

Judge Lelu P. Contreras, presiding judge of Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 43 had issued a warrant of arrest against him under Criminal Case No. 6815 with no bail recommended.

It may be recalled that at about 8 P.M. of Dec. 11, 2018 in Magsaysay, Romulo Borja, a native of Salvacion, Pandan, allegedly created trouble at the house of Nerio de Leon for an unknown reason.

Barangay kagawad Raul Santos tried to pacify Borja but as he was doing so, Santos took a piece of stone and without apparent reason, threw it at the victim.

Hit at the back of the head, Borja fell to the ground and was rendered unconscious. He was rushed to the Viga district hospital but was later referred to the Eastern Bicol Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his serious injury.
