An unidentified gunman and two cohorts waylaid an account officer of the Pinoy Lingap Damayan Multi-Purpose Cooperative (PLDC) last week in Pandan town, taking from him over P15,000 cash and valuables.

Investigation by the Pandan police showed that at 9:16 A.M. of Mar. 18, 2019, Jemuel Tenerife, 22, was driving his motorcycle after doing his weekly collection from clients in barangay Porot when the incident occurred.

A masked man, about 6 feet tall and and wearing black jacket and short pants, suddenly appeared and pointed a short firearm at the victim, forcing him to stop.

Two other men about 5’2” tall and with their faces covered by shirts, appeared from a grassy area at the side of the road and grabbed Tenerife’s gray backpack containing cash collections of P11,400 and provisional receipts. They also took his black wallet containing P4,000 and ID cards as well as his black Nokia cellphone.

The three suspects escaped towards an unknown direction while the victim drove his motorcycle to barangay San Roque where he borrowed a cellphone to inform co-worker Marjhon Fortuna of the incident.
