A jobless man in San Andres town has been held in custody by the police after causing the death of his stepfather during an argument early Sunday morning..

A criminal complaint for homicide is being prepared against Jeffrey Sales Bermejo, 22, who had heatedly argued with the victim, Benito Jacobo Solsona, 55, in front of the Lictin barangay plaza at about 2 A.M. of May 26, 2019 while they were under the influence of liquor.

The report stated that Bermejo pushed his stepfather, causing him to fall to the ground. The unconscious victim was brought to the Juan M. Alberto Memorial District Hospital for immediate treatment but expired while being treated.
