Joseph C. Cua last week encouraged rivals and critics to refrain from politicking as he expressed relief over the revelation of Peter Joemel “Bikoy” Advincula that all his drug claims, which appeared on a number of videos tagging elected officials as narcopoliticians, are but ‘all lies’.

He said that the right action is to help each other and offer genuine congratulatory remarks.

It may be recalled that in one of the videos uploaded online, ‘Bikoy’ named Cua among other Bicol politicians who are allegedly part of the drug syndicate in the province.

The Bicol PNP regional director, Brig. Gen. Arnel Escobal, previously refuted the claims of ‘Bikoy’ in an interview with DZRH Network News .

The governor-elect understood that this is a hang-over of the propaganda campaign rampant during the election season but he said this has to be swept away. The election is over, he said, and the candidates who lost should take their defeat graciously.

He also expressed dismay over repetitive attempts to link his name to the illegal drug issue despite the dismissal of the charges against him by the Ombudsman and the Department of Justice, as well as the absence of his name in the narcolist.

“Dapat magturuwangan na kaysa magpara-sourgraping. Bukas man an administrasyon ta sa anumang klase nin pagtarabangan para sa Catanduanes,” he concluded.
