Saleslady, 19, nabbed over carnapping case

Catanduanes police last week apprehended two persons wanted by the Regional Trial Court for separate offenses, including a 19-year old sales lady from San Andres who turned out to be the No. 1 most wanted person of the Provincial Highway Patrol Group for a carnapping case.

On June 1, 2019 in Mayngaway, San Andres police personnel led by Staff Sgt. Maricel Masagca, together with the HPG team and the Virac police nabbed Yolly Ann Subion, who has a standing warrant of arrest issued by RTC Branch 43 Presiding Judge Lelu P. Contreras for violation of the Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016 with bail for her provisional liberty recommended at P300,000.

The accused, who is also the No. 12 Provincial Most Wanted Person, is a native of Calatagan Proper, Virac, who has been working as a sales lady at the Robinsons Mall in Imus, Cavite.

Two days earlier, the Virac police led by Senior Master Sgt. Joselito Tubo arrested Jerry Tarroquin, 38, at San Isidro Village, on the basis of the arrest warrant issued by RTC Branch 42 Presiding Judge Genie G, Gapas-Agbada for the crime of attempted murder docketed under Criminal Case No. 6902 with bail set at P72,000. The accused is a construction worker from sitio Sogod in barangay Bigaa.
