Twin cases for violation of Republic Act 9165 have been filed against a pedicab driver in Pandan who was caught by the police in a buy-bust operation last week.

Ruel Icaro Pante, 43, of barangay Napo, was arrested after selling a sachet of shabu for P1,000 to a poseur-buyer at 12:30 P.M. of Aug. 29, 2019 in Libod. A search of his person by joint elements of the Pandan police and the Catanduanes police intelligence branch also turned up another sachet of the illegal drug.

Separate cases for the sale and possession of dangerous drugs have been filed against him before the Provincial Prosecution Office.

Meanwhile, the Number 4 Most Wanted Person in Baras town was arrested last week at the Virac sea port.

Waiting police officers put the handcuffs on Gerald Paul Torrecampo Lopez at the port at 12:22 P.M. of Aug. 29, on the basis of a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 42 for violation of RA 9165 and RA 10591 with no bail recommended.
