CNHS is top performer in 2019 Division Secondary Presscon

Catanduanes National High School, buoyed by the performance of its campus journalists, successfully defended the overall championship at the 2019 edition of the Division Secondary Schools Press Conference last week following the judging of the school paper entries.

CNHS scores 193 points to top the field of competing high schools from all over the province, while Bote Integrated High School with 112 points nipped Bato Rural Development High School (111 points) for third place.

Caramoran RDHS and Baras RDHS tied for fourth place with identical 96 points while San Andres Vocational School salvaged fifth with 94 points.

Division Supervidor Gina Pantino said the top 10 best school papers in English were: The Synchronizer (CNHS), 1st; The Beacon (Bote IS), 2nd; The Flame (Baras RDHS), 3rd; The Voyager (Antipolo NHS), 4th; The Gravity (Magnesia NHS), 5th; The Spotlight (Bato RDHS), 6th; The Vigor (San Andres VS), 7th; The Courier (Caramoran RDHS), 8th; The Laboratorian (CSU-LS), 9th; and, The Stylus (Sicmil HS), 10th.

The top 10 school papers in Filipino were: Ang Kampilan (CNHS), 1st; Ang Lampara (Bote IS), 2nd; Ang Rimora (Caramoran RDHS), 3rd; Ang Ugat (Calatagan HS), 4th; Ang Pagsibol (San Andres VS), 5th; Ang Hibla (Tubli NHS), 6th; Ang Bato Balani (Bato RDHS), 7th; Granahe (Pandan School of Arts & Trades), 8th;Ang Magon-On (Magnesia NHS), 9th; and, Ang Pitak (CSU-LS), 10th.
