Three persons, including an 82-year old woman and her two-year old grandson, were injured in separate vehicular accidents in Gigmoto and San Andres last week.

The other Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019, Romualdo Ogalesco, 49, a farmer, was hauling sacks of rice along the national road in barangay Sicmil, Gigmoto at 3:30 P.M. after drying them under the heat of the sun when a Kawasaki Rouser driven by construction worker Julius Briquiles bumped him from behind.

Ogalesco sustained physical injuries while the suspect fled after the incident.

In Catagbacan, San Andres four days later, Concepcion de Guzman, 82, and Gratel Dace Atienza, 2, were walking along the highway near the plaza at 7:15 P.M. when they were sideswiped by a SYM motorcycle without plate number driven by Marc Vincent Panti, 19, a student from Bigaa, Virac.

The two victims fell on the hard concrete, sustaining injuries on the different parts of their bodies.

The child was treated at the Juan M. Alberto Memorial District Hospital while her grandmother was referred to the Eastern Bicol Medical Center for further treatment.
