2 drug suspects nabbed in search, buy-bust op

Police successfully launched separate operations against two illegal drug personalities in Virac and Bato last week, confiscating six sachets of shabu.

Joint elements of the Virac police station and the Regional Intelligence Division Regional Special Operations Unit (RID-RSOU) led by PMaj. Bon Billy Timuat arrested one Ariel Villaluz Suarez, 29, a resident of Constantino, in a buy-bust operation in Palnab del Norre at 10:40 P.M. of Oct. 26, 2019.

Seized from his possession were two medium-sized plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, one small sachet containing the same substance, a piece of black and white paper, the buy-bust money and the Haojue motorcycle (3142 IY) he was using.

Three days earlier in Binanuahan, Bato, joint elements of Bato police station led by PLt. Francis Tabo I, operatives from RID-RSOU5, Catanduanes Provincial Intelligence Branch (CATPIB) and 1st Catanduanes Provincial Mobile Force Company (CATPMFC) implemented a search warrant RTC Branch 42 Presiding Judge Genie G. Gapas-Agbada against watchman Oscar Tatel Coralde, 47, a resident of Libod.

He was placed under arrest at around 7:54 A.M. of Oct. 24 after the search discovered three small plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, leading to the confiscation of the illegal drug and his Suzuki motorcycle.

The police are preparing charges to be filed against the two suspects through inquest proceedings.
